Jeep Wrangler Towing Capacity

Despite its compact classification, the new Jeep Wrangler is more than capable of hauling heavy cargo. The popular compact SUV is available with two different engine options that are designed to give you impressive towing power. The exact towing capacity your Wrangler can achieve will depend entirely on the build, engine, and gear you get.

The Wrangler is available at Devils Lake Chrysler Center in Devils Lake, ND with either a 2.0-liter Turbo engine of a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine. The Turbo engine has direct-injection technology. This helps it achieve great fuel economy without sacrificing power. It can create 270 horsepower and 296 pound-foot of torque. The V6 has a bit more power at 285 horses. With the V6, you can also expect to get 260 pound-foot of torque.

Both of these engines are capable of towing trailers and gear when they're properly equipped. Two-door Jeep Wrangler models can tow up to 2,000 pounds with either engine. If you get a four-door model, you can tow as much as 3,500 pounds with the right equipment.
